This joint right here, I'm grateful they still open and serve an authentic tasting heaping bowl of pho. So many options from pho to rice plates, I always get the house special or chicken pho. I hope they don't ever close because now that Banh Mi Che Cali is closed I'll be coming here for my pho fix. The service is quick, no fluff and the cook brings you the pipping hot bowls within minutes of ordering! How do they do that??? It's always a good amount of folks here, I like the laid back atmosphere and almost feels like home since I've been coming here now over 20 years.Loyalty! Can I get a discount, eggs cost too much! Firstly the food was sooo good they gave us just the right amount of portions Secondly the waiter we got was nice she talked in a nice tone and stuff Third the ambiance was pretty nice as there was not that many people (we were the loudest ones in there 0_o) Lastly which is probably the reason why i took away a star the bathroom as soon as i walked in it had this very loud noise and smell coming from this a/c that was like above my height by like an inch (im pretty short) lots of pee stains at the bottom of the toilet seat and on the floor which made me a little hesitant to sit down and let me tell u-i had to use like 8 pumps of soap for the right amount of soap because barely any comes out of taht thang OVERALL WOULD COME HERE AGAIN!!!!11
Tried this place during a lunch business trip. I ordered the beef with rice noodle bowl, it was very good and super filling. Not too salty at all. We also ordered a beef rice roll, you roll them yourself. The lettuce had some old parts but there was plenty so it's fine. Overall the portions are very reasonable and the beef was good, not much fat. I'd definitely come here again if in the area.
I've been here a couple of times already and boy does this place not disappoint. I usually order the number 14, pho tai chin, which includes a generous portion of meat. If you're looking for an authentic pho place that is flavorful, this is the spot. In terms of today's pho places, most pho places would water down their broth, leading to less flavor. However, this place does not do that! Definitely will be coming back in the future for more!
Got a medium size #4 and was super impressed by the amount of meat! It was actually lean cuts too. Very generous portion of noodle as well - medium size was really filling at a great price. Not a glamorous place but definitely good for a casual comfort meal.
My first time here and the PHO was delicious the broth was so rich and the flavor amazing. I got the medium size and couldn't finish it. The egg rolls were also good and the shrimp that didn't make it to the picture. The service is good, they serve the food fast and don't wait much. They explained everything if you have any questions. The ambiance was so busy on a weekday, It looks like it is very popular. Recommended it... I can say it's the best pho I have so far.
Yelp has been being persistent with me writing a review about this place so be it. I normally write reviews if I feel passionate about a certain place [which I do NOT feel passionate at all here]. Service isn't good unless the servers are in a good mood. The place says they close at 8PM when google maps says they close at 10PM. The noodle and meat ratio is good when it comes to their portions but not at good as pho filet. One person male restroom and one person female so total 2 restrooms. Parking is okay I the back. Do not expect them to be nice and do not expect okay service. Just expect bad and rude service and make sure to pay up in front of the cash register. The FOOD is definitely GOOD and be nice so they can give you okay service instead of bad attitudes and awkward vibes. Be nice to them and you might have a chance at them being awesome here and there! I enjoy coming here because the pho isn't bad. It isn't good either but it isn't bad :)
I'm only rating the pho because that's all I get here, duh. Be forewarned: 4% or so charge on credit card/tap payment transactions. Bring cash. Consistency is their key; always the same broth that has the right touch of temperature, sugary, oily, umami, herby, and salty, I never leave unsatisfied. A great balance, one of the best in SGV. I visit here once a month for like 12 years now. They give you 8-10 slices of rare steak that doesn't have the cooked blood flaking into the soup like some places. Quality flank pieces and the brisket has the right amount of fat. They give you a lot of tripe, which my stomach likes. The tendon is tender and imparted with flavor. I do like that you can have it thick or thin here too (noodle). The quantity of meat here has not shrunk unlike pho places I've went to recently, what a shame. Good hot tea by the way, and service from everyone especially the counter ladies are always good.
It was nice having a meal here again after how many years. They have parking spots at the back of the restaurant. We ordered the following: * 80. Com Tâm Bi Cha Täu Hú Ky Suòn Nuóng - This includes broken rice with shredded pork skin, egg meatloaf, bean curd skin shrimp paste and pork chop. This was a lot of food for me! First time I had the bean curd shrimp paste. It was so yummy! It came with a side of soup too. * 42. Bún Nem Nuóng Chá Giò - Sorry, forgot to take a photo of this one! This is grilled pork meatball, egg roll, veggies with rice vermicelli. Tasty dish! Generous serving also. * 120. Sinh Tó Bo / Avocado milk shake - Creamy and yummy! * 124. Cà-Phê Phin Sua Dá / Vietnamese Coffee - I like that this did not taste too sweet. Their staff is nice and friendly! Great customer service. Great place to eat with family and friends.
